Postgraduation in Game Design

Videogames is the most profitable entertainment area internationally and has seen unstoppable growth. However, creating videogames is not the same thing as playing them. In recent years, there has been a greater demand for and offering of videogame courses in Portugal. This growth, accompanied by the industry itself, has focused essentially on programming and artwork for videogames. The industry, increasingly demanding and competitive, looks for other skills and, in Portugal, the rarest of them is that of Game Designer.

Lectured by Game Designers and other industry experts, this Postgraduate Course in Game Design prepares future professionals for the technical, artistic, and human difficulties of videogame production by teaching methodologies for creating playable prototypes. Students will be working with DREAMS™, from the renowned Media Molecule studio, a partner of this Postgraduate Course along with Sony Interactive Entertainment Portugal, providing access to the PlayStation® platform within the scope of the PlayStation®Talents program.
