Exhibition 'Fragments of Portuguese Design' in the spotlight

On March 23, IADE – Faculty of Design, Technology, and Communication of the European University celebrated IADE Day at Oriente Green Campus in Lisbon, with the inauguration of the exhibition "Fragments of Portuguese Design,” by the designer and director of IADE, Carlos Rosa.

The exhibition brought together everyday objects that help to tell an alternative story of design in Portugal, including pieces that span different eras and cultural and productive contexts – from furniture to graphic design and printing.

Among the examples presented were chairs designed by Daciano da Costa and José Espinho, stamps created by Almada Negreiros, and publications by designers such as Sebastião Rodrigues and Victor Palla, in a journey that included pieces produced between 1920 and the 2000s.
