Fábio Guilherme

Biografia

Analyst and software developer with over 25 years of experience, having worked on projects for renowned companies in Brazil, including TV Globo, Halliburton, UBS, and the government of the State of Rio de Janeiro. Holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics (specialising in Informatics) from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), a Master's degree in Information Systems from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO), and a Doctorate in Computer Science from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). His research focuses on the application of artificial intelligence in games and interactive storytelling, for which he received full scholarships from the Brazilian government. As a researcher at ICAD/IGames/VisionLab at PUC-Rio, produced reports that contributed to winning game copyright infringement cases and received an Honourable Mention (Interactivity) from the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) for his work. Has lectured at PUC-Rio and FUCAPE Business School in Brazil, before relocating to work for companies in Argentina, Germany, the USA, and the UAE. Since 2021, has been an assistant professor at IADE, teaching subjects such as Artificial Intelligence, Games, Programming Languages, Web Development, Graphics Programming, and Gamification at the Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral levels. In addition to his career in Computer Science and IT, also holds a certificate in International Relations and enjoys spending his free time engaging in activities such as language learning (currently proficient in seven languages) and music, having already toured and performed in multiple countries in Europe and the Americas.
